Stars Should Make Others Shine

How we see each other should not depend on accomplishments, status, or success.

The stars get the credit, glory, and popularity, but they should lift up the people around them.

They should not see themselves as better or more important than others.

This is as prevalent in the church as it is in the world. Some of the leaders think of themselves as higher in importance than the average church-goer.

Their ideas and purposes seem to matter more than anybody else’s. They should see it as their job to encourage others to use their gifts, too, and give them opportunity or promotion of their endeavors.

We should all view each other as precious in the sight of God. We should highly value each person, whether they stand on a stage or they are unseen and unnoticed.

Treat everyone as celebrities.

To Be True to Yourself You Must Be Honest With Yourself

Where your truth departs from reality, it is not truth, no matter how fervently you believe it.

For many people today, there seems to be a confusion between reality and their perception of the way things are or the way they want things to be.

Why are people confused about gender issues, and how can we help them to get a firm understanding of who they truly are?

It’s popular to say, “Be true to yourself”. But are you really being true to yourself if you’re not being honest with yourself?

Personality types, being an introvert or an extrovert, talents and gifts – these are all factors that affect who we really are.

We have to adjust our thinking from a scarcity mentality to abundance mentality.

From adversarial to cooperative mentality. We should help each other. Instead of seeing each other as adversaries, we should be advocates of each other.

We all have free will.

We are responsible for our own actions and our own lives.

Trying to skew things, hiding things, pretending that something that is not true is true is causing mental imbalance in people.

We are all different from each other. We each have to discover who we really are. Based on reality and truth, not on how we wish things were or what we want to be if it’s different from who we really are.

Why the Only Real Problems Are Internal

Have you ever wondered why successful, famous, wealthy people are sometimes the most unhappy?

Worldly success, wealth, and fame don’t really make you happy or peaceful or content.

Why did the wisest, wealthiest man in the world say, “Vanity, vanity, all is vanity”?

We externalize our identity. We shoot for external goals, and when we reach them, we find out that they don’t fulfill us.

Values are intrinsic, not extrinsic.

We need to have a good relationship with ourselves. We need to learn to love ourselves.

Do the heart work that’s necessary to get the right view of yourself. Take the time to do the introspection, and be honest about what’s going on inside of yourself.

You are worth the effort! And you can’t really love others or do what you were made to do if you don’t love yourself.

Heaven’s Priorities

Let’s be intentional to pray and find out what God’s priorities are for each day. His priorities might be different from the plans we had for the day.

Take time to listen to what God is saying to us as we pray. Listening prayer is the best kind of communication with God. Give Him a chance to do some of the talking!

Let’s make sure we are productive in accomplishing Heaven’s Priorities.

This is what life is about

Why are we here? Why did God give you life?

We are here for Him. He made us so He could love us.

When we realize this, we know our purpose. To glorify Him and enjoy Him and let Him enjoy us.

Is this how you see life?

Try it! You’ll like it!

Everything that happens in life is meant to make us more like Jesus. We are being refined, purified, pruned, and purged so that we can carry His glory.

We are called to be holy. As a believer what could be more important than pleasing God, living for him, walking with him, talking with him, and loving him?

We are meant to enjoy Him! And He wants to enjoy us.

The things of Earth grow strangely dim when we’re looking at Him, talking with Him, seeing the heavenly vision.

There is so much more to our existence than what we see here with our eyes and experience with our physical senses and our natural understanding.
